RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required, or 5-6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• Full-time position providing routine and complex nursing care
• Practice independently in acute medical/surgical setting
• Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols
• Monitor for side-effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide patient/family education
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• RN License in state of New Mexico or compact state required
