RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 8-hour shifts with full-time schedule
• Call required during weekdays and weekends
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: BLS from AHA, ACLS from AHA
• RN License in state of employment or compact required
• Provide routine and complex cardiovascular surgery nursing care
• Practice independently with awareness of all relevant clinical situations
• Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols
• Monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide patient and family education
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
