Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• No weekends or holidays required
• Must be licensed as Radiation Therapist in NY (can obtain during onboarding)
• Must have ARRT certification
• Administer ionizing radiation and radioactive substances to patients under supervision of Radiation Oncologist
• Operate high voltage machinery safely and accurately
• Accurately enter and maintain patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record
• Interpret computerized treatment plans
• Observe patients daily for reactions and report adverse reactions immediately
• Facilitate complex problem solving regarding technical issues
• Work with equipment including Varian Truebeam and Varian 21ix
• Adhere to NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO radiation safety protocols
• Display professional conduct essential to radiation oncology patient well-being
• Completion of AMA approved Radiation Therapy Technology program required
