Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work rotating day and night shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement: 2 out of 6 weekends
• Holiday coverage required with advance RTO consideration
• No call requirements, overtime opportunities available
• First to float based on staffing needs and skill set
• Float to Medical Surgical unit for procedures/codes and provide 1:1 support for behavioral patients
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: NRP
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Must be able to mix medications independently
• Must assist with respiratory medications, equipment, and intubation procedures
• Required to read and interpret cardiac strips
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4 for stable patients, 1:1 or 1:2 for critically ill patients
• Treat 8-25 patients per day with diverse medical conditions
• Handle common diagnoses including acute illness, severe injuries, chest pain, respiratory distress, neurological emergencies, traumas, and psychiatric emergencies
• Work with common drips: Insulin, Heparin, Levophed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Propofol
• Draw blood from IV starts when indicated
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Minimum 2 days unit-specific orientation
• Use Meditech charting system
• BSN not required

Facility:

This Critical Access Hospital provides comprehensive emergency services with a 6-bed emergency department that serves a diverse patient population with various medical needs. The facility features a full radiology department adjacent to the ED with X-ray, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound capabilities. The emergency department maintains 24/7 physician or mid-level provider coverage with additional provider support from 11 AM to 11 PM daily, along with respiratory therapy services and laboratory support.
