Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Handle approximately 8 cases on average per day
• Work in a smaller cardiac cath lab facility with 3 cath labs
• Perform variety of procedures including diagnostic and interventional heart catheterizations, structural heart procedures, TAVR and Watchman, electrophysiology, peripheral angiograms, and interventions
• On-call requirement: 8-10 shifts including weekends and holidays from 3:30 PM until 7:00 AM next morning
• No floating requirement between locations
• Graduate from accredited school of Radiology Technology, associate's degree in healthcare-related field, or acceptable equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 0-1 year of experience in acute care setting preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA
• Louisiana state licensure required: LRT (R) or (F) by LSRTBE
• Radiography (R) by ARRT required
• Preferred certifications include RCIS, RCES, RCS, CI, CV, VI, or various ARDMS specialties
• Operate essential equipment including fluoro imaging, digital image acquisition, contrast injector, hemodynamic system, IVUS, ICE, and other specialized cath lab technologies
• Maintain aseptic technique and ensure patient safety during procedures
• Act as radiation safety representative during X-ray usage
• Adhere to organizational dress code and attendance policy
• Temp to perm possibility available with open permanent position
