RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call and weekend responsibilities may vary with required response time
• Must have 2 years of recent OR RN experience
• Texas RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (must be through American Heart Association)
• Knowledge of surgery procedures and operation of Stryker video towers for laparoscopic procedures required
• May be required to float between 2 facilities
• Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
• Document patient care and monitor patient conditions
• Communicate patient status to care team, physicians, patients, and families
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care including transfers, discharge, and referrals
• Evaluate learning needs and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, and condition
• Advocate for physical and emotional well-being of patients
