RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with on-call and weekend responsibilities
• On-call duties include weekday and weekend coverage with required response time
• May be required to float between 2 facilities
• Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments
• Document patient care and monitor patient conditions
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care including transfers, discharge, and referrals
• Provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients
• Must have knowledge of surgery procedures and how to operate Stryker video towers for laparoscopic procedures
• Texas RN license required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification required (must be through American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2 years recent OR RN experience required
• Position provides coverage for staff leave
