RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Unit has 48 beds with average census of 27 patients
• Patient ratios: 1:5 during day shifts and 1:6 during night shifts
• Float to similar Med Surg Tele units (D1, F2) when needed
• Participate in daily MDRs on day shift Monday-Friday from 10:30-11:15 AM
• Use Altera/Allscripts Sunrise documentation system
• Work with equipment including Hoyer lifts, automated BP machines, bladder scanners, remote telemetry monitoring, and vein finders
• Must have Med/Surg skillset including head-to-toe assessments and orthopedic care knowledge
• IV medication administration including management of Lasix drips, heparin drips, IVP metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin IV or subQ
• Wound care including drain management and VACs
• NGT/G tube care and parenteral nutrition management
• Central line management including PICC, HD catheters, and midlines
• Foley, nephrostomy, and suprapubic catheter care
• Ostomy care and postoperative patient care
• Perform NGT procedures on unit
• Required certifications: RN License and BLS
• Dress code: scrubs and closed-toe shoes (no Crocs allowed)
