RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
• Full-time position
• Must have at least 2 years of experience with most recent experience in ED - Level 1, 2, or 3 Trauma
• Care for diverse patient population including clinic-type patients, strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, behavioral health, and all emergency department cases
• Provide routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC
• New Mexico RN license or compact license required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
• Complete annual competency verification requirements
• Participate in precepted orientation with designated trained staff member
