Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts, 7 nights on/7 nights off schedule
• Required to work 2 weekend shifts per pay period (two weeks)
• Holiday requirement applies
• Call or standby requirement: maximum 3 per 12 weeks
• Must have more than 2 years of ICU experience
• Patient ratios: 1:2 or 1:1 based on acuity
• Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score prior to signing contract
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Experience with IABP, CRRT, fresh open heart surgery from OR required
• Must be comfortable titrating drips including Dexmedetomidine, Propofol, Dopamine, Norepinephrine, Epinephrine, Levophed, Insulin, Cardene
• Floating requirements to ICU/PCU/MS/Tele at both campuses as needed
• Work with common diagnoses including AMI, CAD, PVD
• Impella experience desired
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• Unit-specific orientation required
• Use Cerner charting system
• Work with in-room monitors (Nihon Khoden) - RNs read strips

This healthcare facility features a 12-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit that provides specialized care for cardiac patients. The unit maintains high standards with intensivists available and comprehensive respiratory therapy support including ventilators, BiPap, CPAP, Vapotherm, and high flow equipment. The facility operates with 24/7 charge nurse and house supervisor coverage, ensuring continuous clinical leadership and support for complex cardiovascular cases.
