Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Two weekend shifts required per pay period (weekend nights are Friday-Saturday, day weekends are Saturday-Sunday)
• First to float when needed - may float to PCU, MST, and EC ICU/PCU as part of staff rotation
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1-2 in ICU based on acuity/staffing, 1:3-4 in PCU
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract (80% passing score)
• Must have strong EKG reading skills and ability to interpret ABGs
• Experience with IABP and Prismaflex CRRT preferred
• Must be comfortable with weaning and troubleshooting ventilators
• Required to titrate all critical care drips including pressors, paralytics, sedation, anti-arrhythmics, heparin, and argatroban
• Work with patients requiring manual proning, EVD management, chest tubes, arterial lines, and SWAN catheters
• Handle complex cases including post-surgical patients, fresh open heart patients, TAVR, cardiac surgical, VAD devices, and CRRT
• Professional scrubs required (any color except camo, transitioning to navy in October)
• Use Cerner charting system
• 8 hours general hospital orientation plus 1-2 twelve-hour shifts with preceptor/buddy support
• May be placed on call during low census (approximately once every 6 weeks)
• Holiday requirements include one winter holiday and eve of another holiday

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
