RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 4 days per week, 10 hours per day schedule
• Full-time position in operating room setting
• Care for patients undergoing orthopedic, neurology, plastic surgery, ENT, and robotic procedures
• EPIC experience highly preferred
• Provide routine and complex nursing care with ability to work independently
• Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols
• Monitor for side-effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• RN License in Texas or compact state required
