RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Full-time position with every other weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required
• Maintain 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for ICU patients and 4:1 ratio for IMCU patients
• Provide care for patients with DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator patients
• Work in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU setting
• Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Provide patient and family education as needed
• One year of Critical Care experience preferred but will accept new graduates
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA
• Must hold RN License in state of employment or compact state
• Attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
• Complete department-specific competency validation and annual requirements
• Temp to perm opportunity available
