RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 36-bed telemetry unit with patient ratios of 4:1 with cardiac recovery patients, up to 6:1 maximum ratio (occasionally may stretch to 7:1)
• Schedule requires every other weekend
• Float policy applies with agency staff floating first (may float to Ortho/Med-Surg units)
• Use remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps
• Document using Meditech system
• Work with PCTs available on day and night shifts, unit clerks on day shift
• Telemetry experience required
• Advanced skills needed: knowledge of chest tubes and dysrhythmia training
• Perform procedures including chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• Dress code: any scrubs except camouflage
• Must strive for 75% patient satisfaction rate
• Follow telemetry monitoring policy and stroke policy guidelines
