RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No call requirements
• Must have 2+ years Medical Surgical experience; Orthopedic experience strongly preferred
• Nevada RN license required prior to start
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Work on 38-bed unit with all private rooms specializing in Medical Surgical Ortho-Spine
• Care for patients with total joint replacements, ortho-spine surgeries, fractures, traumas, and medical overflow patients
• Maintain 1:5-6 patient ratio for RNs
• May be required to float to other units based on organizational needs and competency level
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Eve + Day = 1 holiday)
• May be required to work additional shifts during schedule period
• Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends and holidays
• Subject to call-off without penalty with 48 hours notice for low census
• Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed
