Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work Saturday through Monday from 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Must have excellent Transfusion Service (Blood Banking) skills
• Perform routine and complicated laboratory procedures including specimen processing and handling
• Test patient specimens, calculate and report results
• Perform quality control procedures and operate laboratory instrumentation
• Cross-train to other laboratory sections as needed
• Utilize Laboratory Information System for data entry and verification
• Process patient specimens with attention to minimal pediatric specimen volumes
• Provide notification and documentation of critical laboratory values
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science required
• Must possess MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT certification from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
• One year of approved clinical laboratory experience required including rotations through Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids
• Adapt patient care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, and age-specific needs
