RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work every 3rd weekend and one major winter holiday
• Self-scheduling available
• Float to Telemetry and other facilities as needed
• Maintain 2:1 ICU standard nurse to patient ratio, 3:1 for step down patients, or 1:1 for very high acuity patients
• Work with 21-bed ICU unit with 45 staff members
• Minimum 1 year current acute care hospital ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH
• Cardiac experience and CRRT preferred
• Work with Hospira IV pumps and Meditech EMR system
• Perform procedures including intubation, central line insertion, bronchoscopy, endoscopy
• Manage vasopressor IV drip titration, ventilator management
• Provide care for sepsis, arrhythmias, and Med/Surg critical care patients
• Team-oriented environment with good sense of humor preferred
• Day shift includes 1 charge nurse with no patient assignment and 6-8 nurses
