RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiovascular Surgery

Job Details:

• Work in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) performing cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgical cases
• Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees
• Monday-Friday shift coverage plus on-call duties, weekends and weekdays
• Handle 1-4 cases per day with patient ratios accordingly
• Work with mix of RN and scrub tech staff
• 1+ years of experience acceptable
• Previous CVOR experience required
• Must have strong skills in cardiac procedures including coronary artery bypass graft, mitral or aortic valve replacement, AAA, and fem-pop bypass
• Work with standard OR equipment and Meditech documentation system
• Usually do not float, but may support cath lab or main OR if floating needed
• Excellent patient care skills required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred
• Dress code: Ceil blue scrubs provided by facility
• Work with experienced surgeons featuring fast case times, fast turnovers, and few callbacks
• Follow standard OR policies and unit-specific guidelines
