Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 72 guaranteed hours per week (biweekly), with overtime after 80 hours worked in second week
• 13-week contract length with ASAP start dates
• Float to ICU to assist when needed
• Can be low censused and placed on call with 2-hour minimum call back
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Patient ratio averages 1:6 for night shift on 25-bed Med Surg unit
• Generally care for geriatric patients with CHF, COPD, and diabetes
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Required: Current Michigan RN license, AHA BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2+ years Med Surg experience required with ICU and ER experience
• Strong charting experience required with Care Scape patient monitors, Epic EMR, and Pyxis medication dispensing
• Any colored scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Candidates with demonstrated contract experience in colder climates preferred for winter start dates
• Mask requirement during flu season if declining flu and COVID vaccination
