Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 52 hours worked
• 13-week contract with bi-weekly orientation starting 11/3
• Three weekends out of every six week schedule required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Float requirements: First to float within skillset to other campuses (8-11 miles apart) with 2 hour notice
• Mid-shift float within same campus possible
• Patient ratio: 1:6-7 on nights
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• Minimum 2 years strong cardiac/tele experience and 1 travel assignment required
• Trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Must pass telemetry interpretation tests
• Care for post cardiac procedure patients, A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis patients
• Manage tracheostomies, nephrostomy tubes, CBI, renal biopsy patients
• Handle behavioral health and detox patients
• Skills include 12-lead EKG interpretation, heart cath recovery, PIV insertion, chest tube management
• Drip management experience with cardiac medications and heparin protocols required
• CBI and CIWA protocol experience necessary
• May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills essential
• Three call-ins can result in contract termination
