Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week with option for 48-hour contracts upon request
• Overtime begins after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts
• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Patient ratio: 1:3-4 on day shifts
• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to other campuses with 2-hour notice
• Mid-shift floating possible within same campus
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required
• 1 full year of stepdown experience required
• 1 travel assignment experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with checkoff class
• Required certifications: Compact nursing license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Must pass telemetry tests for EKG interpretation
• Care for cardiac patients (post-cath, stents, pacers), CIWA/behavioral health, sepsis, DKA, CVA patients
• Skills include CPAP management, feeding tubes, post-surgical care, and neuro assessments
• Required to initiate and titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, Insulin)
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system logos
• May require precepting students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills essential
