Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract with bi-weekly orientation
• Three weekends required out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday rotation required
• First to float within skillset between Deaconess Midtown (8 miles) and potentially Deaconess Henderson, KY (11 miles)
• 2-hour notice given for cross campus float assignments
• Patient ratio: 1:6-7 on nights, charge nurse takes patient assignment
• 34-bed cardiac renal unit serving post cardiac procedure patients, A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, and other complex cases
• Required certifications: Active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
• Two years of strong cardiac/tele experience required plus one travel assignment and trauma level II experience
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Must pass tele tests and demonstrate 12-lead EKG interpretation skills
• Skills include heart cath recovery, PIV insertion, chest tube management, drip management, CBI, detox protocols, and central line care
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
• Three call-ins can result in termination
• Associate degree or certificate required
