Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (48-hour contracts available upon request)
• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required
• Every other holiday rotation requirement
• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to Deaconess Midtown (8 miles) and potential float to Deaconess Henderson, KY (11 miles)
• Two-hour notice given for cross-campus floats
• Mid-shift float within same campus possible
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health systems or agency logos
• Must maintain strict attendance policy - 3 call-ins can result in termination
• Teaching hospital environment may require precepting of students and new hires
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years strong Med/Surg experience, 1 travel assignment, and trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with checkoff class completion
• Patient population includes chest pain, abdominal pain, flank pain, CVA/TIA, generalized weakness, and geriatric-psychiatric placement patients
• Skills required: PIV insertion, stable drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
• 32-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:5-7 on nights with excellent LPN and CNA support
• Associate degree or certificate in nursing required
