Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week (48-hour contracts available upon request)
• Overtime applies after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts
• Weekend requirement: three weekends out of every six-week schedule
• Holiday requirement: every other holiday
• Float requirement: first to float within skillset to Deaconess Midtown (8 miles) and potential float to Deaconess Henderson, KY (11 miles)
• Two-hour notice given for cross-campus float assignments
• Mid-shift float within same campus possible
• Required certifications: current active compact nursing license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum two years of strong Med/Surg experience, one travel assignment, and trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health systems or agency logos
• Care for combination of medical and surgical patients including confusion/behavioral health/CIWA, CHF, COPD, UTI, cellulitis, sepsis, amputations, decubitus ulcers, and general surgeries
• Skills include IV fluid/antibiotic therapies, medical/post-surgical assessment, heparin drips, wounds/wound vacs, and basic telemetry
• Teaching hospital environment may require precepting of students and new hires
• Three call-ins can result in contract termination
