Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week with option to work 48 hours upon request
• Overtime applies after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts
• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• 13-week contract length
• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to Deaconess Midtown (8 miles) and potential float to Deaconess Henderson (11 miles)
• 2-hour notice given for cross campus float assignments
• Mid-shift float within same campus possible
• No on-call or call back requirements
• Must maintain strict attendance - 3 call-ins can result in termination
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of strong Med/Surg experience, 1 travel assignment, and trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Scrub requirement: Navy blue scrubs with no competing health systems or agency logos
• Associate degree or certificate required
• Provide care for combination of medical and surgical patients including confusion/behavioral health/CIWA, CHF, COPD, UTI, cellulitis, sepsis, amputations, decubitis ulcers, and general surgeries
• Skills include IV fluid/antibiotic therapies, medical/post-surgical assessment, heparin drips, wound care/wound vacs, and basic telemetry
• May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
