Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (48-hour contracts available upon request)
• Work three weekends out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday requirement
• Float requirement within skillset to Deaconess Midtown campus (8 miles) and potential float to Deaconess Henderson (11 miles)
• Two-hour notice given for cross-campus floating
• Mid-shift float within same campus possible
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum two years of strong Med/Surg experience required
• One travel assignment experience required
• Trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Care for combination of medical and surgical patients including confusion/behavioral health/CIWA, CHF, COPD, UTI, cellulitis, sepsis, amputations, decubitus ulcers, and general surgeries
• Skills include IV fluid/antibiotic therapies, strong medical/post-surgical assessment, heparin drips, wounds/wound vacs, and basic telemetry
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health systems or agency logos
• Teaching hospital may require precepting of students and new hires
• Associate degree or certificate required
• Three call-ins can result in termination
