Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract with bi-weekly orientation starting 12/29
• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to Deaconess Midtown campus (8 miles) and potentially to Deaconess Henderson, KY (11 miles)
• 2-hour notice provided for cross campus floating; mid-shift floating within same campus possible
• Weekend requirement: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule
• Holiday requirement: Every other holiday rotation
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years strong Med/Surg experience, 1 travel assignment, and trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Patient ratio: Days 1:4-5 with excellent LPN and CNA support
• Care for patients with chest pain, abdominal pain, flank pain, CVA/TIA, and generalized weakness
• Skills include PIV insertion, stable drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• Teaching hospital environment may require precepting of students and new hires
• Associate degree or certificate required
• 3 call-ins can result in termination
