Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• First to float within skillset to Deaconess Midtown (8 miles) and potential float to Deaconess Henderson KY (11 miles)
• 2-hour notice given for cross campus float assignments
• Mid-shift float within same campus possible
• Patient ratio: 1:6-7 on night shift (34-bed unit)
• Must wear navy blue scrubs with no competing health system or agency logos
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years strong cardiac/tele experience, 1 travel assignment, and trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Must pass tele tests and demonstrate tele/12-lead EKG interpretation skills
• Care for post cardiac procedure patients, A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies, and behavioral health/detox patients
• Perform heart cath recovery, PIV insertion, chest tube management, drip management, CBI, and central line care
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills required
• May require precepting of students and new hires
• Clinical interview required with 40-mile radius restriction for local candidates
• 3 call-ins can result in termination
