Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract with 48 guaranteed hours per week
• Overtime after 52 hours worked on 48-hour contract
• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Bi-weekly orientation starting January 12th
• Float requirement within skillset - first to float to Deaconess Midtown (8 miles) and potentially Deaconess Henderson, KY (11 miles)
• 2-hour notice given for cross-campus float assignments
• Mid-shift float within same campus possible
• 34-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:6-7 on nights
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum two years of strong cardiac/telemetry experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with checkoff class completion
• Must pass telemetry tests and EKG interpretation assessments
• Patient population includes post-cardiac procedures, A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies
• Skills include heart cath recovery, PIV insertion, chest tube management, drip management, CBI, CIWA protocol
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• Teaching hospital environment may require precepting students and new hires
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills essential
• Three call-ins can result in contract termination
