Description
Opportunity:
RN - Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Three weekends required out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to Deaconess Newburgh (8 miles) and potential float to Deaconess Henderson, KY (11 miles)
• 2-hour notice given for cross campus float
• Mid-shift float possible within same campus
• Patient ratio: 1:5-7 on night shift
• Work in 32-bed Cardiac Renal Unit Stepdown
• Care for high acuity telemetry/medical-surgical patients with cardiac focus
• Patient population includes: Afib with RVR, Afib, flutter, blocks, heart cath without interventions, CHF, COPD, sepsis, BH/CIWA, post ablations, dialysis
• Required skills: Telemetry/12-lead EKG interpretation, initiate/titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin), PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, stable drips, nephrostomy tubes
• Must pass telemetry tests upon arrival
• Required certifications: Active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 3 years strong cardiac/telemetry experience, 2 travel assignments, trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with checkoff class
• Scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• May require precepting of students and new hires
• 3 call-ins can result in termination

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
