Description
Opportunity:
RN - Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (48 hours available upon request)
• 13-week contract assignment
• Work three weekends out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday required
• Float requirement within skillset to other campuses with 2-hour notice
• Must have 3 years of strong cardiac/telemetry experience and 2 travel assignments
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Must pass telemetry tests and demonstrate 12-lead EKG interpretation skills
• Manage high acuity telemetry/medical-surgical patients with cardiac focus
• Patient population includes A-fib with RVR, heart blocks, heart catheterizations, CHF, COPD, sepsis, and post-ablation patients
• Initiate and titrate drips including antiarrhythmics and heparin
• Perform PIV insertion, chest tube management, CBI, and nephrostomy tube care
• Patient ratio of 1:5-7 on night shift on 32-bed unit
• May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
• Professional scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• Associate degree or certificate required

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
