Description
Opportunity:
RN - Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM or weekend option available
• 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime after 52 hours worked
• 13-week contract length with bi-weekly orientation starting 12/15
• Three weekends required out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday rotation required
• First to float within skillset to other campuses (Deaconess Newburgh 8 miles away and potentially Deaconess Henderson KY 11 miles away)
• 2-hour notice given for cross-campus float assignments
• Mid-shift float within same campus possible
• Patient ratio: Days 1:5-6, Nights 1:4
• Care for post-procedure cardiac patients, STEMI/NSTEMI, carotid endarterectomy, sepsis, neuro patients, and DKA
• Required skills: tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, post heart cath care, initiate/titrate drips, NIHSS assessments, chest tube management, PIV insertion
• Must pass tele tests and complete EPIC checkoff class
• Minimum 2 years stepdown experience plus 1 travel contract OR 5 years solid stepdown experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• Teaching hospital environment may require precepting students and new hires
• Three call-ins can result in termination
• Associate degree or certificate education required

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
