Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week (48 hours available upon request)
• Overtime applies after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts
• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to other campus locations with 2-hour notice
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 during day shifts on 41-bed unit
• Must wear navy blue scrubs with no competing health system or agency logos
• May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years strong Med/Surg experience, 1 travel assignment, and trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Patient population includes post-surgical patients (Whipples, vascular, bariatric, ENT), pre/post heart caths, dementia, detox, and fall risks
• Required skills: PIV insertion, chest tube management, CBI, stable drips, epidural management, ostomy care, blood product administration, telemetry interpretation, and wound care
• Must demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills
