Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week over 13-week contract
• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Must have current active compact license
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years solid stepdown experience plus 1 travel contract OR 5 years solid stepdown experience
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Patient ratio: 1:4 on nights
• First to float within skillset to other campus locations with 2-hour notice
• Float requirements include Deaconess Newburgh (8 miles) and potential Deaconess Henderson, KY (11 miles)
• Mid-shift float possible within same campus
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health systems or agency logos
• Care for post-procedure cardiac patients, neuro patients (CVAs, seizures, TBI), and medical/surgical patients
• Required skills include tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, post heart cath care, drip titration, NIHSS assessments
• Must pass tele tests and demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Teaching hospital environment may require precepting students and new hires
• Strict attendance policy: 3 call-ins can result in termination
