Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week (48 hours available upon request)
• Overtime begins after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts
• Three weekends required out of every six-week schedule
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Float requirement: First to float within skillset to other campuses with 2-hour notice
• Float locations include Deaconess Newburgh (8 miles) and Deaconess Henderson, KY (11 miles)
• Mid-shift float possible within same campus, cross-campus mid-shift float unlikely but possible
• Patient ratio: 1:4-7 on nights
• Care for trauma, orthopedic (broken hip/femur), and neurology patients (scheduled neck/back, spine/rib fractures)
• Required skills: Strong neuro assessment, log rolling patients, applying assistive devices, tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, PIV insertion
• Preferred skills: Chest tube/drain management, drips, epidural management, PEGs/NGs, Buck's traction, pin site care
• Must have compact nursing license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years RN experience, 1 year ortho/neuro/trauma, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience required
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with checkoff class completion
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• Teaching hospital environment may require precepting students and new hires
• Associate degree or certificate education required

I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
