Opportunity:

IR Tech-North Fulton-VI-Days - Procedural Assistant

Job Details:

• Work 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM in 4x10 hour shifts per week
• Variable weeknight and weekend on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 1 year experience in Interventional Special Procedures setting required
• 1-2 years interventional radiology experience required, vascular and neuro endovascular preferred
• Must be graduate of AMA approved School of Radiology Technology
• Required certifications: ARRT Radiography and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Assist with providing safe, age-appropriate patient care during interventional procedures
• Perform procedures in both IR and vascular hybrid interventional procedural settings
• Prep patients for procedures and demonstrate understanding of sterile technique
• Prepare necessary supplies and equipment for procedures
• Work in conjunction with radiologists, vascular surgeons, and cardiologists
• Must be able to function independently during procedures after appropriate orientation
• Competency required in all aspects of interventional/vascular procedures, patient positioning, exposure factors and radiation protection
• Verify patient identification using two identifiers and comply with safety protocols
• Provide patient and family education including post-procedural home care instructions
• Must be flexible with hours to meet departmental needs
