Opportunity:

IR Tech-North Fulton-VI-Days - Procedural Assistant

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities per unit need
• Weekend work per unit requirement
• Holiday work per unit requirements
• Must be flexible with hours to meet departmental needs
• Function as interventional special procedures technologist under direction of clinical coordinator and/or department manager
• Assist with providing safe, age-appropriate care to patients
• Perform procedures in both IR and vascular hybrid interventional procedural settings
• Complete VI competencies and demonstrate critical thinking skills
• Work in conjunction with radiologists, vascular surgeons, and cardiologists
• Prep patients for procedures and demonstrate sterile technique
• Prepare necessary supplies and equipment for procedures
• Verify patient identification using 2 patient identifiers
• Transport patients as needed and provide privacy and comfort
• Maintain stock levels and complete necessary paperwork
• Provide patient and family education including post-procedural home care instructions
• Required: Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiology Technology
• Required: Minimum 1 year experience in Interventional Special Procedures setting
• Required certifications: ARRT Radiography, Basic Life Support, BLS Instructor, BLS Provisional
• Must be able to function independently during procedures after appropriate orientation
