Opportunity:

IR Tech-North Fulton-VI-Days - Procedural Assistant

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities per unit need
• Weekend coverage per unit requirements
• Holiday coverage per unit requirements
• Must be flexible with hours to meet departmental needs
• Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiology Technology required
• Minimum 1 year experience in Interventional Special Procedures setting in either IR and/or vascular hybrid setting
• Required certifications: ARRT Radiography, Basic Life Support, BLS - Instructor, BLS - Provisional
• Assist with providing safe, age appropriate care by performing all exams according to department procedures
• Work independently after appropriate orientation and competency demonstration
• Set up equipment and position patients for procedures
• Work in conjunction with radiologists, vascular surgeons, and cardiologists
• Prepare patients and necessary supplies/equipment for procedures
• Demonstrate understanding of sterile technique and radiation protection
• Verify patient identification using two patient identifiers
• Complete preprocedural verification and time out forms
• Transport patients as needed and provide patient education
• Maintain departmental records and stock levels
• Perform procedures in both IR and vascular hybrid interventional procedural settings
