Opportunity:

IR Tech-North Fulton-VI-Days - Procedural Assistant

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Must be available for on-call duties per unit need
• Must be able to work various days of the week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday requirements: Minimum 2 major holidays and 2 minor holidays
• Must have flexibility with hours to meet departmental needs
• Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiology Technology required
• ARRT Radiography certification required upon hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year experience in Interventional Special Procedures setting in either IR and/or vascular hybrid setting
• Must be able to function independently during procedures after appropriate orientation
• Complete VI competencies and demonstrate competency in all aspects of interventional/vascular procedures
• Assist with providing safe, age appropriate patient care by performing all department exams according to procedures
• Work in conjunction with radiologists, vascular surgeons, and cardiologists
• Perform patient preparation, demonstrate sterile technique, and prepare necessary supplies and equipment
• Verify patient identification using 2 patient identifiers and comply with safety protocols
• Provide patient and family education including post-procedural home care instructions
• Must understand anatomy, pathology, patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection
• Ability to communicate in English and display positive attitude required
