Opportunity:

Vascular Tech - IR Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4 x 10-hour day shifts with 1 weekday night every 4th week (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Must be flexible with hours to meet departmental needs
• Able to work scheduled shifts and on-call rotation
• Function independently during procedures after appropriate orientation and competency demonstration
• Assist with providing safe, age-appropriate care to patients by performing exams according to department procedures
• Perform procedures in IR, Vascular Hybrid, and Neuro-interventional settings
• Set up equipment to provide imaging services and position patients for procedures
• Prep patients for procedures and demonstrate understanding of sterile technique
• Prepare necessary supplies and equipment for procedures
• Work in conjunction with radiologists, vascular surgeons, and cardiologists
• Verify patient ID using 2 patient identifiers and comply with preprocedural verification/time out forms
• Provide patient and family education including post-procedural home care instructions
• Maintain stock levels, complete necessary paperwork, and answer departmental phones
• Minimum 3 years experience in Interventional Special Procedures required
• Required certifications: ARRT-CV, ARRT-R, ARRT-VI, or RCIS; BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must maintain current license and BLS certifications
• Competency required in all aspects of interventional/vascular procedures, patient positioning, exposure factors, and radiation protection
