Opportunity:

Echo Technologist - Echo Tech

Job Details:

• Work variable shifts including some weekends and holidays
• On-call responsibilities shared among staff
• Perform all cardiac imaging including adult, pediatric, transesophageal (including structural heart), and stress echocardiograms
• Administer ultrasound enhancing agents (UEA) and perform saline bubble studies
• Minimum 1 year experience in echocardiography required
• At least 2 years hospital experience preferred
• Must be graduate of formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or accredited Cardiovascular Technology program
• Required certifications: ARDMS, RCS, RDCS, or RDCS-AE and BLS certification
• Dress code requirement: Dark Caribbean blue scrubs
• Must be available for call, weekends, and holidays on rotating basis
• Perform measurements and calculations according to laboratory protocol
• Provide oral summary of preliminary findings to physicians when requested
• Must demonstrate competence in equipment operation and patient positioning
• Responsible for patient safety and well-being in the Echo department
• Must exhibit excellent communication skills and ability to work independently under pressure
• Ability to perform quality studies on hospital patients in timely manner
