Opportunity:

MRI Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Thursday from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call responsibilities for holidays only
• Must work minimum of 2 major holidays and 2 minor holidays
• No weekend requirements
• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs
• Required certifications: ARMRIT (Certified MRI Technologist) or ARRT-MR, BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Minimum 1 year experience required with successful completion of accredited MRI program or ARRT-R
• Perform MRI examinations following department procedures and protocols
• Obtain patient clinical history and assess for contraindications
• Administer contrast media when appropriate and verify patient GFR levels
• Position patients properly and use safety devices during examinations
• Maintain equipment calibration and perform quality control checks
• Document patient information and transmit studies to PACS system
• Provide patient education using AIDET communication standards
• Maintain MRI suite security and safety protocols
• Must demonstrate competence in cross-sectional anatomy and pulse sequence parameters
• Ability to work independently while participating as cooperative team member
• Must exhibit excellent customer service and communication skills
