Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Echo Technologist - Echo Tech

Job Details:

• Work 3 x 12-hour shifts with various shift times
• Perform all cardiac imaging including adult, pediatric, transesophageal (including structural heart) and stress echocardiograms
• Administer Ultrasound Enhancing Agents (UEA) and saline bubble studies
• Must be available to take call, work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
• Perform measurements and calculations according to laboratory protocol
• Provide oral summary of preliminary findings to interpreting physician when requested
• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history
• Review ultrasound images for clinically acceptable results and release patients
• Send all studies to PACS immediately after completion and print CDs as needed
• Transport and position patients, assist them on and off procedure table
• Maintain equipment in clean and orderly condition
• Required certifications: ARDMS (Registered Medical Sonographer) or RCS or RDCS or RDCS-AE, BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year experience in echocardiography required
• High school diploma or GED required, trade school diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to work independently under pressure
• Must be flexible with work hours and able to multitask in fast-paced environment
