Opportunity:

RN Endovascular Neurosurgery

Job Details:

• Work in a new procedural specialty department performing LVO stroke cases and cerebral aneurysm repairs with an Endovascular trained Neurologist
• Call schedule required every other week
• Experience in Neuro Interventions, Cath Lab, or Cardiovascular Operating room circulator experience is mandatory
• ICU experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), moderate sedation training
• South Carolina or Multistate nursing license required
• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data
• Plan individualized nursing care to meet holistic age-specific patient needs
• Provide nursing interventions consistent with Plan of Care and standards of practice
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
• Perform patient safety initiatives including patient identification, effective communication, and infection control
• Carry out physician orders with proper documentation and communication protocols
• Administer medications and blood products according to policies and procedures
• Provide care for patients requiring moderate sedation, point of care testing, contrast injection, and sheath removal
• Operate patient equipment and physiological monitoring systems in procedure suite
• Maintain procedural aseptic scrubbing and technique standards
