Opportunity:

RN - CCU/ICU

Job Details:

• Work in ICU setting at small rural hospital
• Maintain professional image and demonstrate excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
• Assess patient needs through history taking, observation, physical examination, and data analysis
• Provide nursing interventions consistent with Plan of Care and standard practice protocols
• Incorporate physician-prescribed medical plans of care
• Conduct hourly patient rounds utilizing the 4 P's methodology
• Foster caring, compassionate environment for patients, families, and visitors
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment for patient and staff protection
• Follow standard work procedures for central lines, chest tubes, foley and suprapubic catheters, pressure ulcers, restraints, and fall risk patients
• Precept and mentor novice employees
• Participate in Evidence Based Practice initiatives
• Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation
• Understand proper storage and safety protocols for medications including large volume IVs, saline, and pre-packaged medication kits
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
