Opportunity:

Radiology Technician - Radiology Technician

Job Details:

• 40 hours per week position
• Flexible hours between 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM
• Required certifications: ARRT, SCRQSA, and BLS (AHA only)
• Must be knowledgeable in all terminology related to radiography, anatomy, and pathology
• Prepare equipment and examination rooms for patient exams
• Position, monitor, and ensure patient safety during examinations
• Produce diagnostic images of soft tissues using sound waves to obtain organ and tissue images
• Administer targeted doses of radiation to patients as ordered by physicians
• Administer trace amounts of radiopharmaceuticals to obtain functional information about organs, tissues, and bone
• Measure bone mineral density at specific anatomical sites
• Document information into computers and report important findings to physicians
• Handle all forms and paperwork as necessary
• Maintain confidentiality when talking with patients and uphold all policies
• Keep work area neat and organized
• Demonstrate willingness to perform duties of other department personnel when needed
• Strong interpersonal skills and pleasant bedside manner required
• Must give straightforward instructions and foster comfort and confidence in patients
