Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

RN Endovascular Neurosurgery

Job Details:

• Work in a new specialty department providing endovascular neurological procedures
• Call schedule every other week
• Experience in Neuro Interventions, Cath Lab, or Cardiovascular Operating Room circulator experience mandatory
• ICU experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), moderate sedation training
• South Carolina or Multistate nursing license required
• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
• Plan and provide individualized nursing care to meet holistic age-specific patient needs
• Perform patient safety initiatives including patient identification, effective communication, and universal protocol
• Carry out physician orders and maintain proper documentation
• Provide nursing handoff care and bedside reporting
• Complete procedural paperwork including consent forms and pre/post-procedure checklists
• Maintain patient privacy and HIPAA compliance
• Reconcile and administer patient medications per policies and procedures
• Administer blood and blood products according to established protocols
• Care for patients requiring moderate sedation, point of care testing, and contrast injection procedures
• Perform sheath removal and operate patient equipment in procedure suite
• Operate physiological monitoring systems
• Maintain procedural aseptic scrubbing and technique
• Handle LVO stroke cases and cerebral aneurysm repairs with endovascular trained neurologist
