Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday only with no call requirements
• Shift hours split between 7:00 AM start and 6:00 PM end
• Couple of years' experience required working on treatment machines treating patients
• Administer therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation using advanced level linear accelerators, Tomotherapy treatment units, or proton therapy units
• Record and verify treatment software and simulate patients according to physician prescriptions
• Position patients accurately for treatment according to prescription requirements
• Follow radiation protection principles for patient, self, and others using appropriate health and safety equipment
• Educate, prepare, and reassure patients and families by answering questions and providing physical assistance
• Reinforce physician advice regarding treatment reactions and post-treatment care
• Contribute to training of radiation therapy students
• Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation
• Maintain professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
