RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work weekday hours with weekend call responsibilities
• Work in cardiovascular operating room averaging 6 cases per day
• Perform in open heart surgery and vascular cases with confidence
• Maintain professional image and exhibit excellent customer service standards
• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination and diagnostic data analysis
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate team member activities while executing immediate directives in urgent situations
• Provide nursing interventions consistent with Plan of Care and standards of practice
• Complete verification of Safe Surgery checklist using service excellence standards
• Record all care information concisely, accurately and completely in timely manner
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment for patient and staff protection
• Prepare operating room for patient and procedures
• Position and prepare patients on operating table
• Serve as communication liaison between family and operating team
• Assist in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment
• Perform all circulating duties with efficiency and speed
• Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation
• Computer skills required for patient care delivery systems
