RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Maintain professional image and demonstrate excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
• Assess patient needs through history collection, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
• Plan and provide individualized nursing care to meet holistic, age-specific patient needs
• Implement appropriate nursing interventions consistent with Plan of Care and standards of practice
• Conduct hourly rounds using service excellence standards
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
• Follow standard work protocols for central lines, foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators, restraints, and fall risk patients
• Serve as charge nurse when assigned and maintain Advanced Resuscitative Certification
• Precept novice employees and contribute to department efficiency
• Participate in Evidence Based Practices and hospital-system initiatives
• Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational participation
• Carry assignment of 4 patient rooms with support from floating charge nurse
• Foster caring, compassionate environment for patients, families, and visitors

This healthcare facility features a comprehensive 22-bed Emergency Department equipped with 3 dedicated behavioral health beds, 2 trauma rooms, and 17 standard emergency department beds. The department is staffed with registered nurses and board-certified emergency medicine physicians, providing high-quality emergency medical care.
