Opportunity:
RN - Trauma ICU
Job Details:
• Work rotating shifts with 48 hours per week
• 16-week contract duration
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Active, unencumbered Hawaii RN license required
• Current BLS/HCP, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• TNCC, CPI (or equivalent) preferred
• Specialty certification(s) highly desired (CCRN, TCRN, SCRN, CNRN)
• Must pass EKG exam with 80% or better during orientation
• Two or more years of full-time staff RN experience in a Neuroscience ICU at a Level I Trauma Center required
• CRRT experience highly desired
• Float to ICU, Stepdown, and Telemetry based upon facility needs
• Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to contract start date
• Requested Time Off (RTO) is not permitted during the initial contract period
• Care for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients with various neurological conditions
• Work with specialized equipment including continuous ECG and EEG monitoring, hemodynamic and intracranial pressure monitoring, cooling therapy, and mechanical ventilation

This healthcare facility features a 17-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit with 2 isolation rooms and 2 hemodialysis rooms, operating 24/7 with coverage by a Neurointensivist and Neuro Acute Care Nurse Practitioners. The unit specializes in treating post-operative neurosurgical and neurointerventional cases, traumatic brain injury, intracerebral hemorrhage, spinal cord injury, stroke, brain tumors, and other complex neurological conditions. The facility offers advanced specialized services and state-of-the-art equipment to support critical care patients.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
